Q: Is the training on-site (my location) or off-site (your location)?
A: Though it can be done either way, training classes are usually conducted off-site at LANslide for two main reasons:
(1) when held on-site, frequently an employee is pulled out of training to address a business need or to attend a meeting, and they are more eager about leaving the office environment as a change of pace. This leads to more effective training
(2) employers do not have to worry about installing software, compromising their firewall security, having strangers in their building, or creating a special room of their facility as a training area.

Q: Who are the instructors?
A: All LANslide instructors are Microsoft certified in the field they are teaching, and have years of teaching experience.
Q: What classes are offered?
A: Our most requested classes are the Microsoft Office Suite. We offer training in all modules (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc) of versions 2003 and 2007. We offer a Office 2007 Conversion class that trains users on the changes between the versions. We offer classes on Microsoft Project, Adobe Acrobat, and other less requested applications as well.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: LANslide was developed with the small to mid-sized company in mind, those that appreciate the value of a trained staff but do not have the mega budget of larger companies. Our prices are some of the lowest in the region. The total cost is based on the number of classes and the number of staff being trained. Significant savings are realized by combining several classes into one package, then pricing the package. Contact us to schedule an interview to determine availability and prices for your company.
Q: How do I know which classes we need?
A: We will sit down with you or your Human Resource manager to determine which classes are most needed. You are more likely to get full value because you are only paying for what you actually need.
Q: How many classes should I/can I take?
A: You choose the classes and the levels that are appropriate for your company's needs. There is no minimum number of classes. You never have to pay for classes you do not want. The collection of classes offered and the dates those classes are conducted is individually customized for each client. Contact us and we can customize a training package for your company.
Q: Are discounts available?
A: LANslide is designed with the small to medium sized business in mind. Not only do we offer some of the lowest rates in the Metropolitan area, but we structure a volume-pricing scheme that allows even small companies to realize significant savings while training a modest number of employees.
The Maryland Business Works Grant offers reimbursement for qualified training to Maryland companies. We can help you complete the required forms. The reimbursement must be approved prior to training, so the sooner we get started the better.
