August Lockin Part of me is eager to do these monthly updates; another part wants to say, "If you want to know what happens at the lockin, Git yo'self in here! But that wouldn't be right, would it? OK, so what happened? We had another round of tournaments, including the one game EVERYBODY has been bugging me to death about: Call of Duty 4. Yes, we finally had a tournament in COD4. The winner: El-Joko! It goes without saying the best part of winning the competition is El Joko has joined the list of gamers eligible for the drawing for a brand new console. There was one prize not awarded that will be held over to the September lockin: a high end nVidia brand graphics card. We do not know what games we'll be playing, but you can bet it will be fun for all. If you continue to miss out on the lockins you are really missing out on fun and prizes. Congratulations to August's winners: George, (again), and Walton, first time winner. Every win adds their name to the LANslide Wall of Fame and gives them more chances to win the console. Remember: the first three people to sign up for the Lockin get a discounted price. Even if you don't get the discount, don't wait until the last minute.
